Who We Are

The Global Family Office Alliance (GFOA) is a non-profit organization (NPO) registered and established in the United States. One of the founding families are some of the top ten family offices in the United States, Richeset family offices in Asia including founding family--the Ding Family of NetEase, one of China‘s top ten richest and influential families. The goal of the GFOA is to create unique value for the most brilliant families and family offices globally and make an unprecedented difference in the world.

 

The members of the GFOA are all subject to a strict examination and invitation system. They are the super-rich families and family offices in the upper class, members of the global royal families, and celebrities with international influence.

According to the Hurun Global Rich List 2020, the number of US $1 billion families in the world was increased by 346 to a record 2816, with 799 in China, 626 in the United States, followed by India, Germany and the United Kingdom, with more than 100 each. After mastering the wealth, the world‘s top families will think about how to realize sustainable family wealth and upgrade their family class, so as to realize the real “rich” and the real ”honor“. According to its own unique advantages, the GFOA combines the resources of the world’s top circles/families/capitals to realize the integration of world-class, scarce, and top-quality projects, the powerful trillion-level and multi-currency capitals, and the precious private network resources. At the same time, it combines families’ power to help more people with public welfare, so as to make the world be a better place.

FOUNDING FAMILIES——DING FAMILY, CHINA

In the Hurun China Ranking Report in 2020, the wealth of NetEase‘s Ding family is 154 billion yuan, ranking ninth in China and 45th in the world, with a 47% increase compared with the same period last year. The NetEase (NASDAQ: NTES), founded in Guangzhou in 1997 by founder and CEO Mr. Ding Lei, was listed on Nasdaq Stock Exchange in 2000. The NetEase ranks 17th in China’s top 500 companies with a value of 282.5 billion. Last September, Ding Lei transferred Kaola, a cross-border e-commerce platform under Netease, to Alibaba at a price of 14 billion yuan. At the same time, NetEase Cloud Music, another Unicorn company under Netease, has obtained a new round of financing of nearly 5 billion yuan.

 

The Ding family’s members are all philanthropists. In January 29, 2020, the NetEase announced an additional donation of 100 million yuan, establishing a new special control fund for the outbreak of coronavirus. In September 2, 2019, the NetEase public education project officially landed. In April 20, 2013, the NetEase Charity Fund announced an emergency donation to 5 million of the earthquake stricken areas in Ya‘an, Sichuan, to support the rescue in front of the disaster area and so on
